Methodology
How this archive separates evidence, questions, reporting and interpretation.
Use the narrowest supported claim.
If a City document says a water-resource report is required, the archive says exactly that. It does not turn the requirement into a claim that water has already been secured or denied.
Name the publisher.
Outside reporting is attributed and linked. A reporter's description is not relabeled as a City finding.
Questions stay questions.
Unknown power demand, water use, fiber routes, costs, NDAs or grandfathering remain unknown until a responsive record or reliable source answers them.
Do not publish the leap.
Documents can suggest additional lines of inquiry without proving a conclusion. Material that has not been verified stays out of the confirmed ledger.
A serious record should be reproducible.
Preserve originals.
Do not overwrite source PDFs. Derivatives, screenshots and excerpts should point back to the original.
Put time around every claim.
A July 2025 planning status is a July 2025 planning status, not automatically the current status.
Correct in public.
When a factual statement changes, log what changed, why, when and which source supports the correction.
Do not publish resident personal information casually.
Government records can contain addresses, phone numbers, signatures or other personal details. Public-interest documentation does not require turning residents into collateral damage.
